Review highlights
Based on 738 reviewsRohmer's Restaurant in Muenster, TX, is widely recognized for its authentic German and American cuisine, with particular praise for dishes like pork summer sausage, schnitzel, and traditional sides such as red cabbage and potato salad. The restaurant is appreciated for its clean, welcoming atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff, contributing to a comfortable dining experience. Patrons also value the variety offered, including burgers, Mexican options, and a salad bar, accommodating diverse tastes. While the food quality and hospitality receive consistent commendation, some feedback notes that the seating booths could benefit from improved comfort. Overall, Rohmer's is seen as a charming small-town spot offering satisfying, well-prepared comfort food at reasonable prices.
Small town standalone German, American restaurant with ample parking. Restaurant and bathrooms are clean. Staff is great. Food is top notch especially the pork summer sausage. The only thing that needs improvement is the booths. They have little to no padding and their design makes them very uncomfortable. Recommend
Amazing food and great people working there. We had a great meal and good conversation.
It's such a lovely restaurant. Our waitress was friendly and funny, I forgot her name (sorry). We started with an appetizer of the stuffed jalapeños. They were smooth tasting but not too hot of an appetizer. The Schnitzel and Sausage plate was excellent, but I was particularly fond of the smoked sausage it had a simple yet deep flavor. The red cabbage and the potato salad were very good as well. Coconut cream pie, how can you go wrong? It was yummy! Not a huge fan of German food, no problem, there are plenty of other options. 5 stars only because I can not add more!
Food was delicious, waitress was friendly, prices in line with sit-down burger joint. Also offered some burgers and a little bit of mexican food in case you want to go with someone who doesn't like German food. They had a salad bar as well and some tasty-looking pies on a counter but we were full. They offered German mustard too, which was great. Good place to stop for lunch if you're going down 82.
Sooo good! It was three of us. We had the chicken schnitzel, red cabbage, fried potatoes and German potato salad, rolls and finished off with a slice of apple pie. Best mustard I’ve ever had. Bought some to take home it was so good. So worth the stop. Good ole comfort food in a small town.
Excellent snitzel and sausage. My wife had hamburger steak. Fried potatoes and onions were fantastic. Cabbage was awesome!!!!Update. Had the same thing again 2 years later, better than last time, and that's saying something. My wife had the chicken noodle soup. That's the way it should be mad!!!!
A little gem in Muenster, Texas. Good german snitzle! And my wife loved the salad bar! Sorry, no pics due to the snitzle being to good to wait and take a pic!
We had been traveling on motorcycles and needed some well deserved dinner. A couple of fellow bikers recommended this place for a good meal, and they were right!Great service by the ladies hearty portions. We hit the road full and happy that the boys sent us here.
